I don't get it. The winner constantly backed up and out of the ring.

i am new to learning kudo
But at the end the entire body weight is on his neck So, he might have tapped or the refree saw this and didn't want the player to be injured and made this decision
I am fairly new to this entire sport so i am not sure. If someone else knows pls confirm if what i said was right or not
